At your consultation, Dr Seifman will assess your face, discuss your concerns and medical history, and explain which options may be suitable, including their risks and limitations. Not every treatment suits every person, and sometimes no treatment is the right choice. Most people return to normal activities straight away. For the first 24 hours after treatment, avoid exercise and hot showers, and follow the written aftercare instructions you're given. Any bruising or swelling usually settles within a few days to two weeks. You'll also receive the nurse on call number for any out-of-hours concerns.

Non-surgical treatments can't achieve the same results as surgery for more advanced changes, such as significant skin laxity. Dr Seifman will advise whether a surgical or non-surgical approach suits you best.

Bruising and Swelling:
Bruising, swelling, redness and tenderness at the treatment site are common, and usually settle within a few days to two weeks.
Infection:
As with any procedure, there is a small risk of infection. Following your aftercare instructions helps minimise this risk.
Asymmetry:
No person is perfectly symmetrical, yet at Tailored Plastic Surgery, we aim to achieve symmetry in our treatments. There is a risk that the result may not be perfectly symmetrical, in which case you may require an additional treatment to achieve this effect.
Eyelid or Brow Heaviness:
Some people experience a temporary drooping of the eyelid or brow. This settles as the effect of the treatment wears off.
Lumps or Irregularities:
Small lumps, firmness or unevenness can occur. These usually settle over time, and occasionally further treatment is needed.
Changes to Blood Flow:
Rarely, treatment can affect blood flow to the skin. This needs urgent care, and in very rare cases it can affect vision. Dr Seifman will explain how this is managed and when to contact us urgently.
Allergic Reaction:
Allergic reactions are uncommon but can occur.
Results Vary:
Results differ from person to person and are not permanent. Repeat treatment may be needed to maintain them.
